Lagos State Commissioner For Energy And Mineral Resources Resigns, Renounces Party Membership

The ripple effects of the last All Progressives Party primaries are beginning to show as the Lagos State Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources, Olawale Oluwo, resigns from his position and renounced his party membership.

He has also defected to the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, where he says he would work to get the PDP candidate, Jimi Agbaje, elected as Lagos state governor.

He said the process created a moral burden for him, and that he found it difficult to justify the party’s conduct of that October primary election which he said was marred by massive voter dis-enfranchisement, intimidation, violence, undue influence, and non-compliance with principles of democracy.
