DR Congo Postpones Presidential Election

Democratic Republic of Congo’s long-delayed presidential election has been postponed. D.R. Congo’s election board says the long-anticipated vote scheduled for Sunday has been shifted by a week. It cites a fire that destroyed voting materials last week in Kinshasa as a cause for the delay. An electoral official also reportedly blamed the postponement on ethnic violence and a current Ebola outbreak.
