Jos Polo Tournament Kicks-off Today
Over the past four decades, NASCO has consistently sponsored and supported the game of Polo in Nigeria.

In his address to journalists at the opening of the 2018 Annual Polo Tournament in Jos, the Group Corporate Communications and Compliance Advisor of NASCO Group of Companies, Mr. Haroun Harry said that NASCO Group has directly contributed to uplift and advance the status of the Jos Annual Polo Tournament as its main sponsor thus far.

He added that: “Sports-tourism has increasingly become a major defining currency for the branding of cities and nations, in order to transform them into attractive destinations of choice; both for the adventurous tourists willing to travel and spend, and for foreign direct investments looking to identify and connect with infrastructure, utilities and services deals.”

Sochaux Coach, Daf Extends Contract With Club

Forty one year-old former Senegal international defender Omar Daf has extended his contact as coach of French club Sochaux until June 2021.

Daf was appointed coach of the second division side last November.

The former French champions are currently just two points above the relegation zone in Ligue 2 with 17 games left this season.

Earlier this week Sochaux signed former Liverpool and Mali midfielder, Momo Sissoko.

Daf played 14 seasons for Sochaux across two spells, previously coached the club in an interim capacity in 2013 and 2015.

Super Falcons To Start Preparation For Cyprus Women’s Cup After 4 Nation Tournament

Super Falcons of Nigeria, are expected to return to the country on Wednesday after finishing third at a four-nation invitational tournament in China.

Officials of the Super Falcons have confirmed that the team will immediately start preparations for the Cyprus Women’s Cup, which will hold in turkey from Friday to early march.

After the 12–nation invitational tournament in Cyprus, the Super Falcons will either play Spain or Canada before a final training camp in Austria that could also include two tune-up games.

Nigeria is the only African country to have featured in all previous editions of the FIFA Women’s World Cup since the competition was launched in china in 1991.

France Extradites CAR Football Official Wanted By ICC

France has extradited to the Hague, a senior Central African Republic football official wanted by the International Criminal Court (ICC) for war crimes committed in the C.A.R.

A committee member of the Confederation of African Football  Patrice-Edouard Ngaïssona, was arrested in Paris last month for coordinating attacks on Muslims in his country. He has denied the allegations.

Patrice had declared himself political co-ordinator of the Christian anti-Balaka militia. The group has been blamed for hundreds of killings.  The ICC says Patrice was responsible for murder, torture and the recruitment of child soldiers.
