Keyamo Certain PDP Not A Threat To Buhari’s Re-election

Spokesperson of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Presidential Campaign Council, Festus Keyamo on Thursday says, the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), is not a threat in the 2019 elections.

He made the claim during the inauguration of the Women and Youths Wing of the APC Presidential Campaign Team in Abuja as he said, that the PDP would never serve as a threat to the re-election bid of President Muhammadu Buhari.

However, he called on APC supporters to intensify efforts towards ensuring that the party recorded massive victory at the polls.

“They are no longer a threat to President Muhammadu Buhari because their effort is collapsing.  They have more than four hundred groups but the groups are now dropping on a weekly basis.

“ It clearly shows that they cannot function without public funds and they discovered that it is no longer business as usual,” he said.

The opposition party has been disseminating false information to tarnish the image of President Buhari which would not help them at the polls, Keyamo said.

Flying Eagles Head Coach, Paul Aigbogun, has submitted to the Nigeria Football Federation the final list of twenty players for the 2019 Africa U-20 cup of nations.

NRA Threatens To Withdraw Members From NPFL Over Attack On Referees

The Nigeria Referees Association has threatened to withdraw its members from the Nigeria Professional Football League because of repeated attacks on league referees.

Referee Sam Agba was assaulted by Plateau United fans in Jos and on Sunday, some match officials were attacked by fans of Remo Stars in Sagamu.

Afe Babalola Calls For Unified Examination For Universities Graduating Students

Chief Afe Babalola, SAN, a legal luminary, has called for the adoption of a unified examination system for final year students in every course in Nigerian universities.

The legal icon said this is the way to bring about quality education in the country to discourage what he called “the culture of laziness” in the system.

Babalola made the call while speaking at the tenth matriculation ceremony and award conferment on alumni of Afe Babalola University in Ado Ekiti.

At the twin events, Ekpo Naomi, best graduating student ever produced by the university since its inception in 2010, was awarded half a million naira.

Babalola said if the Nigerian Universities Commission and the Ministry of Education adopt the idea of unified examinations to all final year students, every university would strive harder to ensure its students pass the national examinations.  He said this will result in high standards in teaching and learning.
