CUPP Alleges Plot By APC To Take Over National Assembly

The Coalition of United Political Parties, CUPP, has alleged a fresh plot by the president and his party, All Progressives Congress, APC, to take over the national assembly.

Lawmakers had agreed to meet over the president’s suspension of Chief Justice Onnoghen.

CUPP chairman, Imo Ugochinyere, issued a statement on Sunday that the APC government was planning to make a last chance move on Tuesday to take over the national assembly.

The statement further lists names of those CUPP says would be announced by the government as senate president, senate deputy president, senate leader, house speaker and deputy speaker respectively.

It also alleged bribe payments of seventy thousand dollars for each senator and forty thousand dollars for each house member.  To achieve this, CUPP further stated the government and APC had sourced fifteen million dollars from NNPC, CBN, NDDC, NPA, NIMASA, a commercial bank and a company.
