EPL Week 22 Review: Arsenal Loss, As Man Utd Defeats Spurs In Wembley

In the English Premier League action over the weekend Liverpool travelled away as they defeated Brighton and Hove Albion by a goal to nil, courtesy of Mohamed Salah’s penalty to extend their lead on top of the table by seven points, with Manchester City having a game to be played on Monday as they welcome Wolves at the Etihad Stadium.

Chelsea moved close to third place Tottenham with just a point separating the two sides as they beat Newcastle at Stamford Bridge by two goals to one. The Gunners got a shocking 1-0 defeat away from home as they struggled to score against ninth placed West Ham.

In other EPL games, Burnley won at home as they beat Fulham 2-1, Cardiff City played a goalless draw with Huddersfield at home and Leicester City lost at home to Southampton by two goals to one. Everton currently sits at the tenth position on the log won at home against Bournemouth by two goals to nil.

In a thrilling match on Sunday at Wembley, Manchester United defeated Spurs courtesy of a goal by Marcus Rashford before the end of first 45 minutes. Two goals difference is what is keeping them sixth on the log with Arsenal as they both have 41 points from 22 games played.

U-17 AFCON: Eaglets Beats Tanzania In A Thrilling 5-4 Encounter

Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets won their opening match, 5-4, against hosts Tanzania in Dar Es Salaam at the 13th Under-17 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) on Sunday.

That victory took the eaglets top of Group A ahead of the other clash between Angola and Uganda.

Tiger Woods completed an epic comeback from career-threatening injury and scandal by winning the 83rd masters on Sunday, capturing his 15th major title to end an 11-year major drought.
