Atiku Blames APC For Cancellation Of Bill Clinton's Planned Visit

PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has blamed APC for the cancellation of U.S. former president Bill Clinton’s planned Nigeria visit.

Abubakar said in a statement released on Tuesday in Abuja by his media aide, Paul Ibe, that the statement credited to APC governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai that foreigners who interfere in Nigeria’s electoral process would return home in body bags was responsible for the cancellation.

Abubakar quoted Clinton’s statement as saying he was cancelling the trip because of recent “conversations” that have made the visit inexpedient.

Atiku Abubakar’s statement further said he wished the situation in Nigeria were more favorable to make Clinton’s visit more conducive.

Clinton would have been in Nigeria now to witness the signing of a national peace agreement by the two front runner presidential contenders, Buhari and Abubakar in which they would reaffirm their commitment to accepting the outcome of the elections as INEC would announce it.
