NFF Pledges To Support Ailing Christian Chukwu

NFF Pledges Assistance To Sick Christian Chukwu

Super Eagles former captain and coach, Christian Chukwu, is reportedly very sick, and in desperate need of financial help to go abroad for medical treatment.

Thirty-nine years after Chukwu led the Super Eagles to their first-ever Africa Cup of Nations title, he is now reported to have a debilitating health problem.  He needs financial assistance to offset cost of travel to the United States, and for surgeries and treatments.

A go-fund-me account has been set up for the purpose.

In a positive turn of events, happy to report that NFF president, Amaju Pinnick, announced on Sunday from the UK that he has mandated the chairman of Enugu State Football Association, to get details of Chukwu’s situation, and what needs to be done to return him to good health.

Pinnick has pledged the support of the NFF to help in restoring Chukwu’s health.

U-17 AFCON: Eaglets Beats Tanzania In A Thrilling 5-4 Encounter

Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets won their opening match, 5-4, against hosts Tanzania in Dar Es Salaam at the 13th Under-17 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) on Sunday.

That victory took the eaglets top of Group A ahead of the other clash between Angola and Uganda.
